Cordoba
I have captured these interesting reflections in Cordoba. This is one of only two photos made by me in that nice Spanish town. And that is one more reason why it is so precious to me.

In the beginning I would like to say that I am an absolute fan of Spain in winter. That is the time when the temperature is very comfortable: not too cold and not too hot, it’s possible to visit the landmarks and go hiking all over the place and not meet any crowds of tourists on the way. Winter in Spain is my favorite season. And I will tell about a small part of this time spent in Ronda.
Ronda met me with rain, fog and clouds and I couldn’t clearly see the city. I walked to the canyon, looked down on a potentially beautiful view but at that time completely covered with fog, took out my camera, wiped out the raindrops from the lens and made a couple of pictures. I didn’t go further to discover the city, it was not very comfortable, I caught a little bit of cold so I went to a bar to drink Spanish wine with local ham (called “jamon”).
It is so nice when there is time in reserve and I can regulate it’s quantity for being spent in each particular place depending on the weather conditions and interest.
On the next day me and Ronda really liked each other! And that was because right in the morning the sun showed up and illuminated for me all the beauty of the place. The fog cleared away and I could finally see the fantastic canyon. I didn’t know that Ronda is not only the canyon and the cool bridge over it but I suspected that and I was right. There is a lot of interesting stuff: medieval walls, cathedrals, Arab baths, nice gardens on the cliffs, arena for corrida and a lot of hiking trails around the town with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains.
I walked a lot: inside of the town and outside of it. I made a little enjoyable picnic with a view of the New Bridge (that’s how the giant bridge over the canyon is called). I wanted to wait for the night right there and take a picture of the bridge when it will be beautifully illuminated at night but didn’t do that and that was a good decision. The bridge is illuminated only in some particular days and my day was not a particular one. So I’ve chosen different views for my night images.
I was very impressed by Ronda, much more than I expected. During a trip it is important not to draw conclusions about the city if you come there at a bad weather. If the place is potentially interesting it’s better to stay longer or come back there. I stayed longer in Ronda. But I would like to come back there too.
